January 26, 2016 Reply Sabrina for Sanders Screw you CNN, you grilled him on that question asking him to say he'll raise taxes and ignoring that no one would have to pay ridiculous private insurance companies anymore. January 26, 2016 Reply Beorn Anyone notice how the questions were soft balled to Hillary? They were tough on Sanders, and kissed her ass (e.g. how do you put up with the irritation of someone like Bernie). Nice CNN. January 26, 2016 Reply Eric LaCore Nice title CNN… keep it classy… the Town Hall Debate was a clear CNN (Clinton News Network) hit job… HIT JOBPeople admitted they were PLANTED by HRC in the Iowa Town Hall Debate (search YouTube and you'll see people who questioned in the debate explaining in detail how they were planted by HRC and the questions GIVEN to them). This is SICKENING!… Later CNN has reported only the HRC positives, not challenging the MANY things she lied or misrepresented (i.e. consistent stance over 40 years… excuse me? LGBT – Civil Rights – War on Drugs – Iraq – etc etc… WHY DOES CNN NOT FACT CHECK THIS?) – Then she goes on to take credit for Obama's policies and Kerry's Iran deal. Lets not forget, she did this in 2008, when she said things like "landing under sniper fire"…. If the MSM (Mainstream Media) will not report on the facts fairly, we the people will! I would take it in a heartbeat. January 27, 2016 Reply Sammy B Bullshit title, shame on you CNN. There is a special circle in hell reserved for you corporate spin doctors… January 27, 2016 Reply Sammy B I am so glad that the American people are finally realizing how manipulative CNN is, I think this might be the first presidential election where more people saw through the bullshit than were manipulated by it. January 27, 2016 Reply Sterowent i disliked this video, not that i dislike bernie's policies, but rather this is clearly propaganda. no longer should you have the word news in those initials of yours, for you've traded away the pillar of journalism that is the truth. January 27, 2016 Reply Dustin Proffitt 240 people upvoted for bernie, 141 people downvoted CNN trying to smear bernie January 27, 2016 Reply Aaron Shame on CNN. Misleading title that only makes Bernie look bad while also cutting out the parts when he said America's middle class will benefit overall because they won't have to pay ridiculous fees for healthcare, a RIGHT that ALL Americans should have. January 27, 2016 Reply Sarkkoth But you'll be paying less over all. Forgot to mention that? Probably something the Clinton News Network wouldn't like you to know. January 27, 2016 Reply bluejedi24 As someone who (right now) is leaning slightly towards Clinton, I just have to say, a lot of people seem to not understand math. Yes, Bernie would raise most middle class taxes in order to pay for the new healthcare system. But with the new healthcare system, there would be no such THING as health "insurance" anymore, and the health insurance companies would be GONE; they wouldn't exist anymore. Which means you wouldn't pay for "health insurance" anymore. For most middle class families, this leads to a NET GAIN in money saved. Pay a little more in taxes to pay a LOT less in health premiums. I'm on the fence right now because I am totally, 100% for a public universal health system like Bernie, but I am with Clinton on some other things including her ability to be the best commander in chief. But this health care revolution is something that must be done. It is obvious the only main intent of this question was to get that headline. I am Canadian but I seriously hope my American brothers and sisters get their free health care like we have. January 27, 2016 Reply Mr. Putler Gollum #CNNClintonNewsNetwork January 27, 2016 Reply dipojones So many dumb fucks below that lack basic math skills. I guess conservatism has wiped out all republican brain power. People paying $12,000 for insurance will now be paying $5000 in taxes. How is that going to drive businesses away when they are SAVING ? January 27, 2016 Reply Xavier foster Hey CNN, Time Warner, your parent corporation, contributed 500,000$+ to Hillary Clinton! You are being part of the corrupt system of which bars real progress from occurring in this country! You can't stop us from finding the facts, so fix your biased title! January 27, 2016 Reply rettwoods Step 1. Take the amount you earn in a year and set aside 2.2% Step 2. Take the total amount you currently pay for health related costs (insurance) and set that aside as well. Step 3. January 27, 2016 Reply Liberal Larry so why did Sanders get tough questions right off the bat, while Clinton got praise and softballs? And why was Chris asking the tax question JUST after Sanders clearly explained it? Oh right. CNN wanted a soundbite of Sanders saying he's gonna raise taxes. Gotcha. January 27, 2016 Reply Isa K. January 31, 2016 Reply Brittany Logan For people that are working class rising taxes no matter what it is for is a bad idea, they can barely afford taxes now February 4, 2016 Reply Brenda Arroyo Bernie should thank his buddie Obama, for forcing the private Healthcare insurance companies and skyrocket premiums upon Americans. February 5, 2016 Reply Egalitarian Ethos instead of raising taxes get the money out of the military budget throughout many years America's military budget continues to be the biggest more than any other country. simply put Americas military budget makes our Medicare and Social Security look like chump change. even getting 1% of the military budget would be more than enough to pay for medical. First he will drain the billionaires. In a few years that money will be gone. So he will have to include the millionaires. Once all the wealthy have fled the country in several years, the middle-class will be taxed at 50%. Which means familys can't afford a home or car payments, insurance, maintenance. Eating out is out of the question. So the polititians will have to nationalize more & more. Which means still higher & higher taxes. So we will all be living in cramped apartments. Taking the bus to work assuming any jobs are left. Forget Disneyland, Six Flags etc. Only foreign tourists can afford that stuff. We will all be eating government food allowances. So the government will mandate what we can eat. Of course this all only applies to us chumps. Bernie Sanders will be living in a spacious home with servants. A driver for his private car. Armed security. The best food. A hugh salary. This is his idea of making everything fair. March 6, 2019 Reply Daniel Faktorovich The problem with Bernie analysis is that he forgets to include that our healthcare is better than the healthcare of the rest of the world. Scandinavia is a bad comparison because those countries take over half of the income of people making more than 60,000 dollars a year. I am sure that is not what Bernie means, and if it is, he is insane. Countries with somewhat lower tax rates such as Canada and the UK have worse healthcare. The average emergency room wait in England is 9 hours. In the US, it is 2 hours. March 15, 2019 Reply darrin moore England has 17% of the population of the US meaning of course the US as a nation pays more but as individuals the people of the US pay less seeing a country of 17% population of the US pays 50% ( not three times ) less as a collective meaning they pay more per individual it’s the same as Canada with one tenth the population if 1 individual is paying 50% of that 10 individuals pay let’s say the 10 pay 10 dollars as a group they are paying 1 dollar each where the single Canadian is paying 5 Dilla March 17, 2019 Reply John Zee Sure. The enormous costs of Medicare for all will require dozens of new taxes; and increases of taxes we already have. No way Sanders can lie around this. April 13, 2019 Reply Randy Carpenter What about all the people that will lose their jobs that work in the insurance industry? How will they care for their families? Where do the thousands of people go to get a job? How would you feel if Sanders said he was going to eliminate your job? Then says everyone else gets free stuff. That will not pay your house payment, rent, food or clothing for your family. Just a question. He doesn't explain if doctors will take the insurance he wants to give for free. Doctors can say no and only take cash. They don't take some insurance now and you can't force them to do it. Doctors and hospitals could raise the copays to make up for the cut in funds from his insurance plan. I say plan, he has not explained how it works or what it will pay for in detail. He just says free and I am just wanting to know. I don't vote for anyone that will not allow me some understanding of details. I vote for a person if I can only understand what is the plan and what consequent may come from it. Free is always paid by someone and free is not getting a vote from me. I need to fully understand. April 20, 2019 Reply joshua person Look some one is gonna pay …… and money will run out how stupid are people April 20, 2019 Reply Charles Diaz Sweden also has private insurance May 3, 2019 Reply Lory D So 180 million people will lose their health care, and then we can be like Canada and wait 12 hours in an er for care. June 13, 2019 Reply Marvin Guigar You guys don't seem to understand he said he wants to raise taxes the pay for your health care you're also paying for someone's college tuition he wants to make college free to so how much taxes is he going to have to raise you say is okay now but you wouldn't like in a long run besides that's why I'm voting for Trump in 2020 June 28, 2019 Reply RONALD SAMBRANO Nothings free you dick! July 28, 2019 Reply Richard Wind Taxes are Robbery July 28, 2019 Reply BBBYpsi What Bernie does not tell you on this so-called healthcare for everyone and no private insurance companies is government will determine if you have something that's treatable or not so you cannot just go and get your health care medicine without government approval which could take months or you might not get it at all there's always something left out and he'll take more money out of your paycheck trust me you'll end up paying more money in the long run October 1, 2019 Reply Johnny Zeee Yes there will be enormous tax increases on everything ; to pay for a government- runs-it all health insurance. He will lose. October 17, 2019 Reply JD Schrunk A government that promises you everything can also take everything. Don’t believe me? Read about the American Indians. What people don’t realize is assuming this got passed- it would take years to kick in. They’d start by lowering the Medicare age. First to 55 then to 45 then to 35. So in the unlikely event he became president- you aren’t going to wake up the first day he’s in office with free health care. January 7, 2020 Reply Caitlin K So let me make this clear to all u who think this is great- bernie raises taxes but eliminates private healthcare costs. Please tell me u realize this saves u absolutely NO money-instead of your money going to private healthcare (where YOU HAVE A CHOICE OF WHAT TYPE OF HEALTHCARE U HAVE, HOW MUCH U SPEND, ETC) u are now just giving your money to the government to do whatever they want with it (you're hilarious if u think this increase in taxes will be used solely for healthcare). Therefore, u are putting the government in control of YOUR healthcare- ask any veterans how well that works and how "wonderful" the VA is 🙄 MORE GOVERNMENT CONTROL IS NOT THE ANSWER AND NEVER WILL BE THE ANSWER!!! February 22, 2020 Reply RDWebMaster NAME It’s like saying food is going to be free but the cost of water is going through the roof. You’re STILL paying, and now, MORE than you were before, just in another direction. Luckily for him very few see that, and those that love him don’t care enough. They will. When their 27% taxed paychecks become 48% taxed. You may make 15 bucks an hour, but you’ll only have $275 a week after taxes. Hope you love Ramen! February 23, 2020 Reply Kate Bailey Canadians, Brits, and other socialized medicine countries come to the US to get treated for threatening illnesses and surgeries (if they can) because of the wait time in those countries. People die because they can't get seen and treated right away! Socialized medicine across the board will not only cost us trillions of dollars, but will reduce the medical personnel to a bare minimum in order to save money!!! I would like to keep my medical insurance, thank you very much!!! February 23, 2020 Reply Mack Grant Your insurance premiums would never be “eliminated”. You’d pay for your premiums (and a lot of other people out of work) with half your take home pay. February 24, 2020 Reply Michael Silveria Hey Bernie you idiot. We didn't pay this much til Obamacare.
