>>This is Brandt-Daroff habituation exercise. Begin this exercise sitting on
the edge of your bed or couch. It is recommended that your feet be
able to reach the floor comfortably so you can easily steady yourself when
you return to the sitting position. Sit in the middle of your bed so you’ll
have enough room to lay down to each side. Turn your head 45 degrees to the right
and quickly lay down on your left side. Allow your neck to relax with the back
of your head supported by the bed. Wait for dizziness to subside, plus 30 seconds. If you are not dizzy wait for 30 seconds. Quickly sit back up and wait for 30 seconds. Turn your head 45 degrees to the left
and quickly lay down on your right side. Wait for dizziness to subside, plus 30 seconds. If you are not dizzy wait for 30 seconds. Quickly sit back up and wait for 30 seconds. You have just completed one repetition of
the Brandt-Daroff habituation exercise. Repeat this sequence four more times
for a total of five repetitions.>>Perform this exercise
twice a day for two weeks.
