Ty, since we’re here, we’re gonna check out your fridge first, then we’ll go to your gym, and finally, end with
rapid fire questions. You ready? Let’s do it – So, this is the fridge, guys. First of all, my house cost $100 million, but this shit right here… Is the best part of the house. The staples of my fridge would
probably have to be water. You know, you always need
water just to survive. I like Gatorade too, ’cause I work out a lot. My trainer actually tells me don’t (beep) with the Gatorade, but I like it. – [Interviewer] What’s your diet like? – My diet, it varies. Lately I’ve been trying
to come back clean, and work this little bit of fat off. My trainer recommends the berries, like help cut the fat. Usually, what I try to do is just all vegetables, and protein. – [Interviewer] Do you cook? – This is kind of old. But, salmon. I’m good at like, fish. – [Interviewer] Any food you hate? – Yeah, there is food that I hate. I hate horseradish. Anything with horseradish in it. I can’t (beep) with it. You will never, ever,
see pork in my fridge. No pork on my fork. I hate dairy. I try to go very, very light on it, I can’t really drink milk like that. ‘Cause, it gives me gas. (low-tempo music) ♪ Oowee ♪ – [Interviewer] What do you snack on if you’re hungry at 2:00 a.m.? – I try to just stick to the fruit, or not eat at all, that late. When I’m on my like, trying to lose weight vibes. But… Shit, sometimes I might just order up. You know what I mean? Some (beep) french toast, burrito, burger. – [Interviewer] I see Oreos. Do you eat Oreos? – I don’t eat Oreos. My daughter likes Oreos. And like, the homies like Oreos. So, I get ’em. I don’t (beep) with that shit. – [Interviewer] Dude, what’s
up with all the juices? – Those are all chasers. – [Interviewer] Nice. – You know, for that section over there. (laughing) – [Interviewer] What’s your go-to drink? – I been off the 1942 Tequila. I’ll mix that with a little
bit of lemonade, or something. You know, something light. A little light splash. And, the homies like Hennessy… And Ciroc. Of course, McQueen. Shout out to Whiz. – [Interviewer] Do you
eat before your work out? – I do not eat before I work out. I’m just not the, I don’t like it. I like to wake up, and you know, do my regular house shit. And then go to the, you know, the gym. Because like, if I’m on the treadmill, or some shit like that, I can feel it. Like, if it’s in there, it’ll make that workout
way harder, you know, than it has to be. Aight so, that’s the fridge. Right now, we’re going to
go to my trainer’s gym. We’re gonna go get serious right now. (upbeat hip hop music) I work out damn near every day. Except for, if I have a show or something. You know, studio. But, I mainly wake up every day, and at least do cardio. – [Interviewer] That looks cool. How do you use that machine? – It’s better to just do it, you know, straight up, like this But me, sometimes I need
a little bit of help, ’cause I’m just getting back into it. So, I use these. – [Interviewer] How
long are your work outs? – I try to work out for at least an hour, but on a good day it’s two hours. – [Interviewer] Do you work
out when you’re on the road? – [Ty] Hotels. – [Interviewer] Okay, but how
do you keep your mind free? – This is how I keep my mind. You know what I mean? Just working out. To just let some of the steam off, you know what I mean? I do that every day. – [Interviewer] How do you
come down after a big show? – After a show (laughs)? Shit, you guys know what I do. Anybody that knows Ty Dolla $ign, knows what he does to come
down after a show (laughs). – [Interviewer] What
music do you listen to when you work out? – [Ty] I’ll listen to Anthony
Valadez, on KCRW (mumbles). Why? Because, he always just
plays some new shit that I’ve never heard, that came out. So, I like to hear new shit, instead of the same old stuff. Like, you try to go to
those playlists on you know, Spotify, or Apple Music, or any of those, And it’s like, the same music that we hear in clubs, and in peoples cars. So, I like to just hear some
new shit while I’m working out. – [Interviewer] Do you ever
get creative ideas at the gym? – [Ty] Oh for sure. Like, if I hear like a dope melody, or if I hear… You know, line in a song, maybe it might give me
inspiration to make a new song. But, most times, I forget by
the time I get to the studio. Ah! – [Interviewer] So, what
are your fitness goals? – Fitness goals? I just wanna be lean, and be the best, you know, sex symbol I can possibly be. So, they say 80% is with the diet. 20% with the work out. And… I try to stay in here, man. Just, like I said, be
the best man I can be. – [Interviewer] What about your voice? Do you do anything for that? – I would say the cardio helps out a lot. ‘Cause like, if you’ve ever
been to one of my shows, it’s very high energy. A lot of jumping around, running around, and
running through the crowds, and all types of crazy (beep). So, I think the cardio is, for sure, what helps me out with that. – [Interviewer] If you could take any equipment around the world, what would it be? – Well, I do take it around the world, and that’s the treadmill. Because… Like I said, I need that cardio. I always post too, before shows. Like, my run. Um… I think that’s what like, I’ve tried doing shows without it, and I feel like I’m just more lazy. You know what I mean? But, when I get that run off, and get that first sweat off, then, of course, it makes me
sweat less during the show. And, I just feel way more energized. – [Interviewer] What’s the
worst part of the workout? – Worst part of the
workouts, to me, is leg day. Like, squats and (beep). Lunges. All that. Like, I hate it. It’s just the craziest pain. But, at the same time, that gets the core right. So, you gotta love it. – [Interviewer] What’s your
favorite part of working out? – Favorite part of working out is results. When, you know, you get in the mirror. I get on that stage, and I take off my shirt, and I’m looking right and the girls are like, ahhh. It feels good. It’s like (claps), everything’s you know, everything’s working out (laughs). – [Interviewer] Do you have any scars? – Scars? Yeah, I have scars. In private places. – [Interviewer] What’s your
most meaningful tattoo? – Most meaningful tattoo… Would be all my family members… On my arm. I have like hella, hella, portraits of my family members. My mom, my pops, my grandparents. My daughter. All that. So… You know, the family sleeve. – [Interviewer] Alright, now it’s time for our rapid fire questions. On the treadmill, 7a.m. work out, or 7p.m. work out? – I’m usually, probably like, leaving the studio at 7a.m.. So, I guess I would have to
take the 7p.m., for this game. But, that would never work. – [Interviewer] Squats, or dead lifts? – Dead lifts, for sure. I hate squats. – [Interviewer] Favorite
song on your playlist? – Favorite song on my playlist, right now, would have to be “Purple Emoji”, by Ty
Dolla $ign, the sex symbol. – [Interviewer] Crossfit, yay or nay? – Yeah, crossfit is cool. – [Interviewer] Pull-ups or chin-ups? – You gotta get, you gotta do both. Pull-ups, and chin-ups. – [Interviewer] Dumbbells,
or kettle bells? – I like dumbbells. – [Interviewer] Run on a treadmill, or in the great outdoors? – I like running on the treadmill. – [Interviewer] Big legs, or big arms? – I don’t really like my arms too big, ’cause it (beep) with
the outfits, you know? But uh, I definitely work on both, and try to stay lean. – [Interviewer] Biggest compliment, jacked, ripped, swole, or cut? – You know there’s no cuts on mine.
